STAR believes in thinking globally, but acting locally. We serve relocation needs worldwide, while we support our local Northern Virginia community.<\/p>

Polaris<\/em>\u00a0is the name of the constellation that we all know as the North Star. Seen and honored by all living things, the North Star is the brightest star that stands alone and remains constant. Humans have used it as a navigational tool to find their way all throughout history. One perfect example is: Sailors used the North Star when lost at sea to find their way home.<\/p>

Star Moving Solutions<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0chose the name Polaris for our charity because it not only represents our name, it also represents the people we serve. Star Moving Solutions acts globally by servicing people throughout the world, we act locally by servicing our community. Our communities become cities, our cities become countries, our countries become continents, and our continents are connected by the people we serve.<\/p>

Polaris services our community in many ways. A representative for STAR will take a list of the items needed for charity to every survey. During a relocation, any donation from a family will be brought back to our warehouse. As soon as we are contacted by a representative from the local shelter of a person in need, Star Moving Solutions will deliver for free the donated household goods and personal effects.<\/p>

The Dulles South Food Pantry\u2019s goal is to alleviate hunger in Loudoun County by soliciting, collecting and distributing food through a food pantry based within the Dulles South community that is supported by a network of multi-faith institutions and community organizations. We provide perishable and non-perishable food to guests on Wednesdays and send over 200 Backpack Buddies to students at Dulles South schools every week.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) provides two client choice food pantries in western Fairfax County that offer food, toiletries, diapers, and more for our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity and at risk of hunger.
