Yes, Star Moving Solutions is licensed and insured. It is very important to make sure your move is licensed and insured. If they are not and one of their movers gets hurt that will be on you as the homeowner.

Cost and Estimates
The cost of your move can be calculated in different ways depending on the type of move. For local moves, the estimate is based on the time required to complete the move. For interstate moves, the cost is determined by the weight and distance of your shipment. For international moves, your estimate takes into account both the weight and volume of your shipment.
Other factors that may affect your quote include storage, packing and unpacking services, and third-party services, among others.
Services Offered
Yes! We offer packing, unpacking, declutter, certified senior moving, and storage solutions.
STAR provides packing materials for your move; however, you are welcome to provide your own.
Yes! We handle specialty items like pianos, antiques, large furniture, cars, e-bikes, and more.
Yes! STAR provides storage solutions at our 60,000 ft facility ensuring 24-hour surveillance and state of the art fire and security systems including mold and mildew prevention systems. We are also an approved facility by the Department of Defense for military solutions.
Logistics and Timing
Availability can vary depending on the time of year. During the summer, we handle up to 30 jobs a day, so our schedule fills up quickly. If you're planning a move during the summer months, we recommend booking early to secure your spot. However, if you're moving during the slower months, scheduling is much more flexible and there's typically no issue.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- If you cancel in writing at least 7 days before your scheduled move date, you’ll receive a full refund of your deposit.
- If you cancel within 7 days of your move date, the deposit will be non-refundable.
- You can reschedule your move without any penalty, as long as it’s not on the same day and is subject to availability.
Insurance and Liability
We provide several insurance options to ensure your belongings are protected during your move:
- Liability Coverage – Included at no extra cost, this covers your items at a rate of $0.60 per pound.
- Full Valuation Insurance – Offering more comprehensive protection, this coverage is based on a percentage of your item’s total value. The percentage may vary depending on the type of move.

Day-of-Move Questions
Your move with STAR will be seamless with our designated move coordinator who will conduct a pre- and post-move walkthrough and be available throughout the move process to answer any questions and keep you updated.
